UK says to slap sanctions against Russian individuals on Friday

MOSCOW, Dec 9 (PRIME) -- The U.K. plans to impose new package of sanctions against individuals in 11 states, including Russia, later of Friday, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs James Cleverly said.

“Today, I will announce new sanctions on individuals in 11 countries, including Iran, Russia, Mali and Nicaragua,” he said.

“So far we have targeted over 1,200 Russian individuals, including at least 100 oligarchs and their families, with a net worth exceeding 140 billion British pounds,” he added.
